in the library yes..public domain. But one computer crashed at my house, and my middle sister (who shall also remain unnamed, for purposes of fairness) was hogging the one remaining computer. Let's just call her sister Y. She is 15, but sometimes appears as if 10. The SAT was a disaster. I did fine on the verbal, but unfortunatly did terrible on the math. I forgot a few formulas, such as area of a triangle without height and probability things, and also spent too long on an evil geometry question and then didn't get to finish the four other problems in that section. Hopefully, section 6 was the experimental one and didn't count for anything. I didn't get to go into the city today, because of ANTHRAX threats. That reminds me, today I was going to eat a lovely pecan chocolate thing but there was all this white powder on the bottom when I opened it!! I wasn't sure what to do with it, but I didn't eat it, because whatever the powder was it wasn't susposed to be part of the chocolate. However, my mom found it and poured bleach all over the whole thing, then threw it away, and reminded me to wash my hands with antibacterial soap. On a scarier note, today I was belating my mom to take me out driving so I could practice for my second road test this month. She refused, saying that I had been too rude to her this morning and she was never going to take me out for practice again. I threathened to go out driving by myself, but I don't think she believe that I actually would, because she totally ignored those threats. So, of course I had no choice but to actually take the keys and leave. The house was starting to get to me anyway. Keeping in mind that I don't have a liscence, everything was going fine until I tried to practice a three point turn. I went up a nice, clear residential street and pulled over to the right. I had turned left and was backing up when I saw an old man standing in the driveway. He looked very far away, but (NO, I didn't hit him! What kind of a person do you think I AM?!) somehow I managed to run up over the edge of the curb. Feeling daunted, I decided to go back home. However, I hadn't been paying much attention to the street signs and wasn't quite sure which way WAS home. I mean, I knew the general direction but not which streets would take me there and which would wind back around or to a dead end. I was heading towards an intersection when I heard quiet police sirens. it's all in my head, i thought. Unfortunatly, it wasn't. At the crossroads, I saw the flashing lights pass by a parallel street! I went home as quickly as possible after that. Somehow I managed to find my street in a minute, even though I parked on the wrong side. |
