potatoes of DEATH Wow, I just discovered that every potato is a potential poison factory! I knew potato shoots were dangerous, but this article says even one bad potato can be enough to KILL you. Solanine is the toxic chemical produced by potato shoots. Surprisingly, potatos are related to Deadly Nightshade, along with other common vegetables like tomatoes and eggplants. For some reason I find this really interesting. Maybe I was an apothecary in a past life. ~ophelia |
