[ if only life was simple ]

I really want this mug. It's a constant reminder of the sad but true state of politics in our country.

Also, just the other day I was talking to junebug about how it was possible for the government to listen in on any conversation done over the phone or internet. "I'm not saying they do it, I'm just saying they could because the ability exists," I had said. Then today I read this and I find they actually ARE using that ability. It's really horrible, but horrible in the ironic way that I've become used to.

So I wrote one of those emails to a senator demanding that they vote against the new bill. Who knows if that will do anything. But it feels great to complain in an email.
